A Modern Wedding at the heart of Cork City
Diarmaid and Deirdre married on the first day of Autumn in Cork City.
When we first met, they told me they both wanted an urban and modern wedding rather than the more traditional style of a country hotel.
The most important thing was celebrating their wedding with their families and closest friends in the city where they met.
They chose the Imperial Hotel, a boutique hotel at the heart of Cork City, close to the best pubs and other landmarks.
It poured rain all afternoon, so we stayed indoors and made the most of the beautiful decorations for the couple's portraits.
The terracotta and teal in the bridesmaids' dresses and other details complemented the hotel's interiors' earthy tones, adding a vintage and cosy feel to the setting.
After dinner, we enjoyed the views of Cork City from the penthouse suite and took the last portraits under the evening light, and also some Polaroids for a bit of fun.
